Smoky Mountains!
On Sunday it was Taylor's 14th birthday! We decided we were going to spend the day up in the Smoky Mountains. So, after church we started to head up there. We packed a picnic and played in the river. It is so beautiful up there and we had so much fun. After that, we went on a drive in Cades Cove. That's where you can see a lot of wild life. We drove around the cove and saw lots of bears, dear, and wild turkeys. There also used to be a small community up there and so we were able to see old preserved churches, cabins, and other little buildings. There is also a cute little gift shop up there with some of the old cabins and things around it. There were a lot of signs telling people to be aware of snakes. And sure enough we saw a copperhead! For those of you who know my husband know that snakes aren't his most favorite thing. So, he decided it was time to leave. After that we decided to eat at a restaurant called Back Porch. This was my favorite restaurant of the trip.
